RH named the first “Frontrunner City” in Canada

A “Frontrunner City” is a municipality recognized for its leadership and innovative

approach to implementing solutions, particularly in areas like sustainability, urban

development, and nature-based initiatives. Richmond Hill has been recognized by the Urban Economy Forum as leaders in achieving the United Nations Sustainable

Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 11, which focuses on making cities

inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.
