Happy Lunar New Year

Earlier today, I joined David West, Mayor, Richmond Hill, at Centre Court in Hillcrest Mall for Lunar New Year celebrations with The North Toronto Chinese Alliance Church (NTCAC).
I was excited to visit the interactive booths and learn more about Chinese Lunar New Year traditions including lantern making, balloon animals, riddles and much more! We watched performances of Yangko and fan dances, a traditonal lion dance, Lunar New Year song performances, and an elegant Qipao show highlighting traditional Chinese attire and festive celebrations.
